Frequently asked questions
Have an architecture-related question? Check these answers, then give us a call.
Do you do plans for permits?
Yes. Turnaround time depends on the size of the project. Contact us to start planning your next build.
What does a first meeting consist of?
The first meeting is the start of programming: determining how the space will be used, which in turn sets the size and arrangement of the spaces.
What is needed for a first meeting?
The purpose of the space and your desired budget.
What is the purpose for a feasibility study?
A feasibility study checks whether the project scope matches your budget before design begins.
What happens during the construction phase?
We are on site often to confirm the plans are being followed, which prevents problems later.
Do you plan for the interior design?
Yes. We can also work alongside your own interior designer. Interior design receives focus throughout the process.
Do you secure building permits?
Yes. We apply for permits once the documents are complete and before construction drawings are finalized.
Do you have builders that you work with?
Yes, though it depends on the type and scope of the project. All government projects go out for public bid.
What are the phases of the design process?
Five phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding or pricing, and building and construction.
